Homespace is a foster care agency that specializes in caring for older teens in the foster care system, age 14 – 21. We offer teens in foster care safe housing through varied programs to fit their needs, and services that focus on independent living skills training for young adults, so that when they age out of the foster care system at age 21, they’ll be better prepared for adult life. Homespace lays a successful foundation for independent adult living, often taking the place of a parental guardian and caregiver during those crucial teen years. Services like these can include apartment hunting, job readiness training, financial literacy classes, daycare assistance for young parents, tutoring, college application assistance and other educational supports, as well as comprehensive health services such as mental health counseling, access to a nurses and nutritional support and more right on site at Homespace.
